The dress I made for my final textiles exam. I went through love and hate with the whole 2 years and am happy that I can now make the textiles I want to, with out put down and criticism. But I loved working on this dress. I was advised to make a skirt but i thought that was a little boring so cut up loads of denim and made this dress. It’s inspired by a dropped mirror ball. The shards are the angled denim pieces handing freely and the small mirrors are the squares are the square pieces of mirror. It’s very crumpled (after spending 6 months folded in a musty room)proudly sat (stood) in the corner of my room. The dress doesn’t fit the doll quite right ( it’s a men’s tailor doll) and I made the dress to fit a size 8.
